Meet Captain Mike

I first discovered St. Croix in 2014 and quickly fell in love with the island's beautiful waters, relaxed lifestyle, and incredible community. What began as regular visits soon became a dream of calling St. Croix home.

Before moving to the Caribbean, I spent 26 years as the owner and operator of Misty Mountain Camp Resort in the Blue Ridge Mountains near Charlottesville, Virginia. During the COVID years, I made St. Croix my full-time home and, in 2022, launched STX Sailing to share the beauty of the Virgin Islands with visitors from around the world.

Today you'll find me aboard Great Adventure, our Lagoon 450 catamaran, exploring the waters around St. Croix, discovering hidden beaches, snorkeling vibrant reefs, and helping guests create unforgettable memories on the water.

As a USCG 100-Ton Master Captain and ASA Sailing Instructor, my goal is simple: provide a safe, relaxing, and unforgettable experience while sharing the very best of St. Croix.
